The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics is redefining the way musculoskeletal care is delivered across the region with locations throughout Maryland, DC, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Yonah Heller is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint preservation, replacement, and reconstruction of the hip and knee. Utilizing minimally invasive techniques, he focuses on restoring strength and mobility to joints damaged by a wide variety of injuries and conditions including arthritis, osteonecrosis, and dysplasia. He has been trained in partial knee replacement, computer-assisted surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, and the direct anterior approach to hip replacement.
A Baltimore native, Dr. Heller relocated to New York where he earned his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University followed by his Doctorate in Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He later completed his residency at Northwell Health - LIJ Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Following his residency, Dr. Heller returned to Baltimore to earn his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Dr. Heller currently resides in Pikesville (his hometown) with his wife and children. He enjoys playing basketball, biking, hiking, working on cars, and “building stuff”. He is also an avid fan of Baltimore sports teams including the Orioles, Terps, and the Ravens (for which he has held season tickets since the age of 18).
